Built in 1918 as part of a large family compound on the western edge of Winnetka, this home was purchased by a Commodity Trader on the Mercantile Exchange in 1990 and extensively renovated on three separate occasions during the 30 years his family occupied this classic residence. Our firm had the privilege of serving as Architect for all of these renovations which involved every room on all four floors of the house, updating them for today’s modern family while retaining the charm of the original spaces. In the process, a new wing was built including a Guest Suite & Garages, the Kitchen was renovated twice (the latest design by deGuilio Custom Kitchens), the Attic was converted into a cherry paneled Home Office and the house was lovingly improved and restored for its second hundred years.
